Welcome to the Tunguska Express...
Every song is a new song everyday. Tunguska Press pushes the pedal to
the medal, but also eases the gas to pick up those, who like to groove
and act scenes in slowmotion. From the muddy swamps through the desert
and back in to the city we ride!
Tunguska Press got started two or four years ago, it depends
how you look at it. Five young guys wanted to get old very fast
together. We got our selves a fine rehersalplace under the swansbridge,
in the basement of the railwaypeople here in Oulu. We played there over
a year before our first gig. About ten amplifyers and thousand
drumsticks later we came out and started to perform live. The songs got
tighter the men got hevier and the sound got cooler. We made our first
demo TUNGUSKA PRESS in the fall 2008. We like our basement but our goal
is to get on the road and play live as much as possible. We are also
planning to record a new EP in the near future.
Our music is like a soup. We do not hesitate to spice it up or
let it simmer in peace, and let it gather flavours. We take the blues
and chop it like onions and then we cry cause we have to eat it alone.
”Oooh baby, my woman left me etc.” We take pure rock and crunch it down
with a club and stomp the grapes of klezmer and make some good wine.
